Skoda have really caught the imagination of people and got them talking, the VRS adverts are awesome. From start to end the TV adverts are cleverly portraying the beast that is the Skoda vRS I particularly like the end scene where the car is threatening to pounce on its creators. The scariest part has to be the snakes around the engine hissing.
The advert has helped “man up” the Fabia, Skoda needed to get the message through that the vRS is powerful, sporty and “hard”. This is a massive difference compared to the original Fabia adverts which portrayed a peaceful family car with the use of baking, cakes and calming music.
have said that the 1.9 TDi VRS with 130 BHP Clever promises to be a top hatch and will be giving its competitors a good run for their money. It comes as standard with a paddle-shift gearbox which whips from ratio to ratio with barely any hesitancy.
Along with the vRS Skoda are releasing a limited edition run of 200 Skoda Fabia VRS2000s which is the car which helped Skoda take the IRC Constructors Championship. The special edition vRS2000 model is fitted with a 1.4 TSI 180bhp turbocharged and supercharged engine, which provides a 0-62mph time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 139mph.
You’ll have to be quick though as only 20 of the 200 limited edition models are earmarked for the UK. The vRS2000 will be offered in Rallye Green, with a white roof, white 17″ ‘Gigaro’ alloy wheels and race livery – similar to the IRC championship winning Fabia S2000. The Fabia vRS S2000 arrives in the UK in January 2011. Prices have not been announced yet.
